HEART UK are the UK’s only cholesterol charity. They provide expert support, education and services to healthcare professionals and families with concerns about cholesterol.
The charity had a large, poorly designed website with poor information architecture, resulting in low engagement with their key calls to action.
HEART UK
Adept worked with HEART UK to develop a new, better organised information architecture that focused on user needs and improved user journeys.
An explorative homepage allows users to get an overview of the charity's work, and helps navigation to key areas of content within the website. The introduction of several unique landing pages helps to organise content and aids navigation.
The new website is fully responsive, giving a great user experience on both desktop and mobile devices, significantly increasing the level of engagement.
The team at HEART UK are able to edit and maintain the content of the website through Unicity CMS, a flexible and user-friendly content management system designed for charities.
HEART UK make use of many of the tools built into Unicity CMS, such as the full featured donation platform to further their charity aims. Bespoke functionality was developed to support the organisation's requirements for a recipes database and a lipid clinic search which was integrated with Google Maps.
The new HEART UK website really delivered on bringing the charity up to date, with the digital brand identity making their content available to more people who need it.
Adept’s technology has dramatically reduced page load times, while also giving the charity a more graphical and flexible website, which they continue to update with new and valuable content.
Customer satisfaction and user engagement have soared since launch, with decreased bounce rates and increased engagement, beyond certain core pages that have always received high levels of traffic.
We look forward to seeing the increased impact that HEART UK will be able to have with this website as part of their communications.
However big or small your project is, we’d love to see how we can help your organisation do more good.
