Dogs Trust are the UK’s largest dog welfare charity in the UK, with a mission to bring about the day when dogs can lead a happy life without the threat of unnecessary destruction.
They identified a need to amplify the voices encouraging landlords to let their properties to pet owners. This was to highlight the benefits, but also to raise awareness that due to the limited number of rental houses available to dog owners, more dogs were having to be rehomed or destroyed.

A campaign was launched to target landlords. The campaign needed to be closely linked to the Dogs Trust charity, so Adept created a sub-brand for the campaign that incorporated a new logo and developed the charity's existing brand identity. This was initially applied to a range of marketing materials to be sent in a pack to landlords and letting agents.
The campaign quickly grew and with this growth came the need to have a central location for tenants to make enquiries and where landlords and letting agents could find information on how to accommodate pet owners. To facilitate this, Adept created a microsite for the campaign.
The campaign was a huge success for the Dogs Trust with a large number of landlords and letting agents signing up to the scheme. The campaign became a long term project for the charity, and now has a number of full time members of staff working on it.
